12/11/2022 0 Comments Sony capture one![]() My workflow is somehow easier and I can work in batches more efficiently. I made the switch from LR to C1 Pro when I got my a7iii and have found it to have been a smooth transition. WB is always about the color temp of the light hitting the subject not the color reflecting off the subject. Sometimes I may shoot runway stuff and be shooting thousands of images and my balance is the light falling on the runway itself not the 40 women in red suits. Now let’s say your on daylight and you shoot a series of 200 images and it’s off a little than it’s a simple fix because that whole series I’d off. Sure it can guess well but it can’t think like we do. ![]() AWB in camera will read different scenes differently although it’s pretty good most of the time if your scene has a overall prominent color it’s going to try and correct that. Not to say I may not fix WB in post after the fact but if I did a series of 200 images let’s say than I can simple WB in post than apply it to all the images. I never use AWBĪWB can be fooled by subject matter. Ive been using C1 for at least 10 years now.Ĭamera white balance set on daylight. Colors right out of the camera and brought into C1. Only thing I do is a basic sharpening in C1. Just a sample here on this test thread I just did of the CV 21 which I do nothing to the files because it is a test thread. They have a excellent ICC profile built in. Need very little work in C1 with Sony files. My LR4 stays for harbouring the Canon shots from the past 12 years but nothing more. To be able to do colour based layers and work separately on them in RAW is stunning. Only the colour balance on master or wherever I want it, highlights, shadows, etc. So simple and powerful with the advanced colour editor and the color balance tool. I do mainly colours now, wouldn't have ever imagined this before. #Sony capture one how to#I never worked on colour in Lightroom, admittedly, I can't tell how to do it properly there. ![]() I switched to C1 from day one with my 7r3. So for me no presets, like to make changes individually, image by image. WB., most of the time OK for natural light. So I start with setting the collor slider to minus 9 for everything in natural light.īut for concerts on stage with lots of colored lights sometimes that slider goes I to plus. Difficult to say what good collors are.įor me there is almost always to much collor. #Sony capture one skin#As someone considering switching to Capture One Pro however, I'm wondering how other FMers feel about getting pleasing colors out of C1, especially for skin tones? Would you say it's easier or more difficult than it is in Lightroom, and does anyone have any recommended presets or settings they'd suggest trying out? Much has been made recently of getting good colors out of recent Sony cams with Lightroom/ACR presets. ![]() Getting Good Colors (Skin Tones) in Capture One?. ![]()
